The 25 individual, private and luxurious thatched-roof cabanas all boast amazing views of the surrounding jungle and sandy beach.

We are located near the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, which is a jaguar preserve, as well as offering amazing bird watching opportunities. Kanantik was built and developed by scuba divers, and our amazing location, combined with our on-site Scuba Dive operation delivers lucky divers to pristine nearby dive sites.

Belize is often referred to as the “Heart of the Maya” due to its very high concentration of Maya sites. Mundo Maya, meaning Maya World, is an international program established to preserve the rich and ancient Maya culture. This program was developed by neighboring countries that were once part of the Maya Empire: Belize, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. Dating back to as early as 1500 B.C., the Maya civilization was perhaps the most sophisticated civilization in the ancient Americas. By the year 900, this advanced society mysteriously and dramatically declined, leaving behind ancient sites shrouded in mystery and wonder.
