KANANTIK TOURS

BIRD WATCHING:
At sunrise our guide will take you to the nearby jungle on our property where you can see different species of birds, plants and other wildlife. You can also visit our observation towers where you can get a panoramic view of the Mayan Mountains.

COCKSCOMB BASIN JAGUAR PRESERVE:
Departure 8.30 am


This jungle tour will take you to the headquarters of the Cockscomb Basin, a 150,000 acres National Park dedicated to the preservation of the jaguar. There are different trails our guides will take you on where you may see a variety of birds, wildlife and trees. You can also visit the Mayan craft shop at the Maya Center Village which is at the entrance of the park. You will return to Kanantik for lunch.

RIVER CANOEING:
Departure 8.30 am


We will take you with our Mercedes Unimog through the savanna to the nearby Cabbage Haul Creek to river canoe in search of manatees, birds, iguanas, crocodiles, and other wildlife. The creek reaches the adjacent Sapodillo Lagoon.

XUNANTUNICH MAYAN RUIN:
Departure 8.00 am


This all day tour will take you on a two and half hours drive through the scenic Hummingbird highway, passing through the citrus valley, the lush forest at the foot of the Mayan Mountains, and the capital of Belize, Belmopan. Close to the border with Guatemala, a little manually operated ferry will take you across the Mopan River where the magnificent Mayan Ruins of Xunantunich (The Maiden Rock) will be waiting for your visit. You will have lunch at Clarissa Fall, a little Resort overlooking the Mopan River. Minimum four guests.

SNORKELING:
Departure 8.30 am


This is a 45 minutes ride on one of our diving boat and depending on sea conditions we will be heading for the Barrier Reef, some 12 miles east of Kanantik. This is a full day tour with a stop at South Water Cayes Island, we will have a packed lunch for you. Snorkeling is on the Barrier Reef and off the island, gear is provided. Minimum four guests.

SCUBA DIVING:
Departure 8.30 am


It is a full day experience that includes two tank dives at the Barrier Reef and lunch at the island of South Water Caye. Guests must be fully certified in order to SCUBA. We dive in many different sites, all being "drift dives". Our Divemaster is at your full disposal for any information you may want. All diving gear is provided. Minimum four guests.
