Kanantik - A Belize All Inclusive Vacation

Dear Roberto, Kelvin, Ceasar, Charlene, Louise, Alex, Agepito, Keith, etc., etc.:

Couldn't have enjoyed our stay more -- the setting was beautiful, the facilities first-rate, and the service was, well, beyond belief. As Rob and I remarked to each other, the staff thought of things we wanted/needed for our stay and excursions before we thought of them! Truly amazing -- even better than the service at some of the "5-star" Caribbean resorts we have stayed at over the years. Please give our special thanks to Kelvin on that score.

We look forward to hearing more news from Kanantik, and to returning again. And next time we know you'll work on the slight issue of the rain . . .

John and I had such an amazing time with you all during our two week honeymoon at Kanantik. The property, the accommodations, the activities, the food and the service truly exceeded our grandest of expectations. We enjoyed getting to know beautiful Belize and it's wonderful people. Thank you for all that you did to make our first visit to Belize and our stay with you an experience we will not soon forget.

The canoe trip, Jaguar reserve, snorkeling and journey to the ruins were such great adventures. Every detail was taken care for us, allowing John and I to simply take in the experience without a care in the world.

We shared with Kelvin that Palm Sunday would take place during our stay at you resort and that if at all possible we would like to attend a Mass. With the help of Agapito, Kelvin made sure that we were able to attend a church service in Georgetown. Spending that time with local parishioners on this Holy day was one of the highlights of our time in Belize.

John and I ended up going on a bit of an adventure of our own one lazy (and windy) day. We took the Hobie Cat out and before we knew it we landed at the small village of Riverside. We met some local people and ended up spending the morning chatting about free diving for lobsters, raising chickens and what brought each of us to Belize. It was an unplanned excursion that ended up to be a very special journey. We would highly recommend that future guests be given the opportunity to be able to see the "real" Belize along with your planned tours.

The food (and drinks) were amazing. Bertha, thank you for having the, "what's to eat" discussion with me three times a day...everyday! What a special treat to customize our selections the second week of our stay. From the lobster to the pizza to pasta night the quality of the food and the service was exemplary.

Our cabana was just beautiful. Ms. Tush and the other staff took such good care of our little home away from home that we wanted for nothing. Fresh towels, fresh sheets, new toiletries, a bit of straightening up and putting away. We were so spoiled, thank you.

The flowers lovingly placed in the shape of a heart on our bed and the champagne dinner by candlelight right on the beach were so romantic!"

We don't want to gush too lavishly lest credibility of our message be questioned, but we now understand what all those comments previously posted to your website are expressing. Our 2 weeks at Kanantik were fully relaxing and flush with pampering. We enjoyed the attentive service in the restaurant by Berta, Formenta, and Erdulfo, the time passed easily at the bar hosted by Clifton, and the service and knowledge shared during the land tours guided by Calbert (Mayan ruins) and Agapito (Jaguar preserve) was fully informative and satisfied our curiosities. Even the several cool (cold by your standards) nights were fully tolerable compared to our weather in Switzerland!

We had the full attention and guidance during SCUBA diving of you and Alberto as Divemasters, which were fully appreciated and showed the barrier reef to its best advantage;unfortunately, we didn't have enough days, even with 11 dives to see but a small portion of the reef's offerings, but that's good basis to visit again and dive more sites! Charlotte fully enjoyed the snorkeling tours that were expertly led by Mark and she is fully enthused by her discoveries of the reef life he revealed to her. Of course, Captain Alex was the key facilitator of our transit to the reef and rendered us safe passage there and back with ease and efficiency. We trust that other guests, like us, experienced similar wonders and garnered memorable experiences at the reef that motivates more appreciation for the fragile link this area has between the land and those that depend upon the sea.

The time we spent at Kanantik showed us a place well suited to relaxation and enjoyment at our own pace and we appreciated the accommodation of this pace by Kelvin and your other staff. The kitchen was fully meeting our requests (but we think that Alejandro could be an even better asset to your menu offerings if given such license to create - however, we have no complaints with what we received!)

I knew instantly Kanantik was her destination. From my description alone she made reservations with you today for a 9 day stay....I renewed my memories, of which I have many beautiful ones despite the heavy rains and poor weather we had that week, and opened the website to see the place that I will always remember and hope to return to one day again soon.

Paul Keber and I arrived at Kanantik last Thanksgiving day, almost one year ago. We are divers and there had been a problem with weather and the divemaster suffered an accident....nevertheless, our trip was one of great beauty and splendor. The menu and preparation by the Chef and his sous chefs was superb... Amidst the beautiful acreage and the pristine design and architecture of the buildings on the land and waterfront....ahhhhh, it was indeed a shangra la...and it is that description that convinced my friend to explore your heavenly place in Belize.

I am pleased my friend Janis and her friend, Steve, will have the opportunity to visit for themselves....

One statement can sum up our experience at Kanantik. Kanantik = Paradise.

Our stay at Kanantik was by far the best vacation we have ever taken. We arrived on Sunday, pale-skinned and tired from our crazy lives in New York City. After 6 glorious days at Kanantik, we departed relaxed, well-rested, and tanned (and very, very sad to leave). On the plane ride home, we kept saying, "if we were still at Kanantik right now, we'd be eating or sitting by the pool or having drinks at the bar."

The resort is spectacular, and the preservation of nature within the grounds is a sight to be seen. The cabana was beautiful and comfortable. We especially appreciated all of the Belizean handiwork that went into the cabana's construction and the furniture. We miss waking up to the birds chirping and sound of the waves crashing on the beach.

The staff was incredibly warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Their willingness to share their experiences in Belize taught us about a special place in the world, and now in our hearts.

We have already recommended Kanantik to some friends and will continue to do so with extreme pleasure. We will be hard-pressed to find another place in the world that will compare to Kanantik and can't wait to visit again."

" Dear Roberto and Kanantik Family,
We want to tell you what an amazing experience we have had in Belize! We paid homage to the Jaguar but he did not honor us with his presence. We held court with the spirit of Xunantunich and climbed the same steps and stood where ancient royals over looked the humble peasantry to praise the many gods. We met head on the many Belizean water challenges we donned extra "skins" to embrace the ocean with our prone bodies to snorkel we manned our oars to control the course of our canoe we took point position in the stealth skiff seeking sea cows we scoffed at the frequent rain showers and never once grabbed and umbrella and we faced the most dangerous aqua feat to comfort the croc as we circled the mighty pond. We locked eyes to establish our territories and we knew the tower was definitely our domain!!

But The highlight of our trip was to take up residence in a palatial cabana constructed of jungle materials and using Mayan building techniques. The bay leaf palm roof is amazing to shield against sun wind and rain. To reinforce our comfort level we could have taken further refuge under the second roof in the closed wall bathroom area!!! The living space radiated with skilled craftsmanship and adapted design to reflect the expertise of local wood workers and the legacy of the ancient artisans. It?s a clever man-made environment which induces tranquil osmosis of tropical living, Mayan culture and tourist comfort.

Our time was enhanced with the daily adventures, the wholesome meals and the exciting entertainment. The visual flora displays and the baked bread reptiles in the restaurant awaken our senses and added fun!
